Build A Raised Round Platform For Your Special Event
Here is a great idea for weddings or other special events - a raised, round platform. This platform was designed for my son's wedding. His fiance wanted an elevated round platform to stand on when they said their vows together. The platform is eight feet in diameter and is built in two sections so that it is easily transportable. This plan uses the minimum amount of wood and is an efficient design so that it is easy to build, even if you have very little carpentry skills.

Here is what the platform looks like when completed. It is different, in that, they chose to make it a foot off the ground instead of six inches, as in the plans. This isn't its final setting and use, but in the test run, it proved sturdy. In the middle, is the bride. On the right, is the bride's sister and on the left is the groom's sister.
